The treatment
How many teeth is a Hollywood smile?
Usually the teeth that show when you smile — commonly eight to ten on top, and often the same below. The number comes from your own smile line, and there is no reason to treat a tooth nobody sees.
Will it look fake?
Only if it is designed that way. The shade and the shape are your choices, and the temporaries are there so you can live with the decision for a few days before it is made permanent.
Does it hurt?
Preparation is done under local anaesthetic. Teeth can be sensitive for a few days afterwards, particularly to cold, and that settles. If a tooth needs root treatment first, that is its own procedure with its own answer.
Do veneers ruin your teeth?
A porcelain veneer takes under a millimetre of enamel, and that enamel does not grow back — so the tooth is committed to being veneered from then on. It is a real trade and it should be made deliberately, which is why a tooth that needs nothing is better left alone.
How long does it last?
Porcelain veneers and crowns are usually quoted at ten to fifteen years and often outlast that. What decides it is the same as for a natural tooth: hygiene, grinding, and whether the gum stays healthy.
Can veneers be whitened later?
No. Ceramic does not respond to bleach, so whitening — if you want it — is done before the shade is chosen, and the veneers are matched to your teeth at their new colour.
Your trip
Can I do it in one trip?
Usually yes — five to seven days covers design, preparation and fitting. Porcelain and E.max take two appointments four to six days apart. What extends it is anything that has to happen first: alignment, a root canal or gum treatment.
Why does it cost less than at home?
The price reflects where the clinic is, not what goes into your mouth: veneers and crowns are Ivoclar E.max and zirconia, milled and glazed in the clinic’s own laboratory in the same building, so no stage is outsourced. Your written plan shows the full price before you book.
Will I be able to talk to the team in English?
Yes. Twenty-one languages are spoken in the building, and a patient coordinator is your point of contact from the first message to the flight home.
Safety and aftercare
Is the clinic authorised for international patients?
Yes. The clinic holds an International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate from the Turkish Ministry of Health (certificate no. ST-3618), and its management systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 10002 and ISO 31000. You can open each certificate at the foot of this page.
Who carries out the treatment?
Turkish-licensed dentists. Every plan is agreed between the specialists it will pass through — implantology, prosthetics, endodontics and oral surgery — under one roof.
What happens if I have a problem after I fly home?
LEMA’s aftercare service stays with you once you are home. Your patient coordinator remains your point of contact for any question about your new teeth.
